Esther, 91, S. Main St., Fort Loramie, died of natural causes at Heritage Manor Nursing Home.

She was a daughter to Alphonse and Agnes (Buehler) Bauer. On Aug 18, 1942, she married William H. Borchers, at Immaculate Conception Church, Botkins, who preceded her in death.

Surviving are two sons, Roger (Ellen), Franklin, TN, and David (Kathy), Dayton; a daughter, Marily (Edward) Schweitzer, Celina; one daughter-in-law, Amanda Borchers, Muskego, WI; seven grandchildren: Michelle (Rich) Buethe, Nicole (Erik) Boye, Todd (Melissa) Borchers, Bridget (Kurt) Krebs, Becky (Jason) Shields, Lee Schweitzer, and Bro. Ignatius Schweitzer; fourteen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Deceased are a son, John "Jack"; two brothers, Wilbert and Frederick "Fritz"; a sister, Sr. Ruth Marie; brothers & sisters-in-law: Jean and Pauline "Polly" Baur, Victoria & John Albers, and Joseph & Mary, Carl & Elsie, Irene, and Thomas & Emily Borchers.

She was a parishoner of St. Michael Catholic Church, Fort Loramie and was a member of St. Ann's Ladies Sodality, Rosary Alter Society, and Knights of St. John Ladies Auxillary. She was a past president of Fort Loramie American Legion Ladies Auxillary and Fort Loramie Historical Society. She served as a library and classroom volunteer for Fort Loramie Elementary School and served in the canteen for American Red Cross blood drives. A 1937 graduate of Botkins High School, she retired from the former Borchers Store, Fort Loramie, where she was part owner and operator. Esther enjoyed playing cards and watching TV, especially The Price Is Right, the Catholic Channel, and basketball.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Michael Church, with Rev. Steven Shoup, officiating.
