He married Linda Young May 18, 1974. She survives, along with his mother, son. Shane; daughters, Desiree Parkeer and Sheena Parker; brothers. Norman, Gene, and Jack Parker, sisters, Jo Ellen Bullock, Lora Bentley, Pat Jones, Connie Peek, Linda Hagins and Emma Lee Vocker and five grandchildren.

Memorial Services 11 a.m. Friday at United Methodist Church in Dighton. No visitations. Memorials to Paul B. Parker Memorial Fund in care of Boomhower Funeral Home, Dighton. Burial in Dighton Memorial Cemetery Dighton, Kanss

Paul Bert Parker, 58, died Monday, March 14, 2011 at his home in Dighton. He was born March 23, 1925 at Eads, Colorado to Oral D. and Margit Gina Olson Parker. He married Linda Young on May 18, 1974 at Carthage. Missouri.

Paul grew up in Eads and attended grade school and high school there. He owned and operated his own semi truck for 30 years before retiring in 1999. For several years he mamaged the marina at Cathouse Recreation. In his speare time Paul enjoyed woodworking and spending time with family and friends.

His father and six half brothers and sisters preceded him in death.

Survivors are his mother Margit Parker, Lamar, Colorado; one son, Shane Parker of Great Bend, Kansas; two daughters Desiree Parker of Orlanda, Florida and Sheena Parker of Dighton; three brothers, Norman Parker of Dighton, Gene Parker of Garden City and Jack Parker of Wichita; six sisters, Jo Ellen Bullock of Friend, Nebraska, Lora Bentley of Brady, Texas, Pat Jones of Pueblo, Colorado, Connie Peck of Osceola, Missouri, Linda Higins of Carthage, Missouri and Emma Lee Vovke of Lamara Colorado. five grandchildren.

A Memorial Service was held at 11 a.m. Friday March 18, 2011 at the Dighton Methodist Church with Rev. Warren Hett officiating. Burial was at Dighton Memorial Cemetert.
