JUANITA (NITA) MAE WOODWARD

Juanita (Nita) Mae Woodward, 76, passed away May 9th 2003 at the home of her daughter, Jeanne Carter, in Liberal.

Nita's death was due to health and physical conditions due to a vehicle wreck she was involved in on Sept. 10, 2002.

Nita was born on March 2, 1927 in Stevens County to Oral Parker and Violet Esther (Morrison) Parker. She attended school in Granada, Colo., Hutchinson and Liberal.

In 1944, Nita married Ernest Craig Kerfoot and to this union five children were born, Jeanne Carter, Liberal, Esther Barkdoll and husband Earnest Sublette, Barbara JoAnn Kerfoot, deceased, Ernest Craig Kerfoot II and wife, Jo, Hensley, Ark., and Rolinda Hoskinson and husband, Roy, Pampa, Texas.

In 1955, Nita married Roy Ray Hoskinson and to this union three children were born, James Hoskinson, Liberal, William Hoskinson and wife, Diana, San Diego, Calif. and Wallace Hoskinson of Fairfax, Okla. There was also a step-son, Roy Hoskinson Jr. Pampa, Texas.

Nita was also married to Tom Woodward in 1971.

Nita was preceded in death by one daughter, her parents, step-dad, two brothers, one sister, one grandson, one great-grand daughter, one niece and one nephew.

Nita's survivors include eight sisters, Winnie Kellet, Solana Beach, Calif., Phyllis Jacabsen Encintas, Calif., Jo Ellen Bullock, Friend, Neb., Pat Jones Pueblo West, Colo., Lora Bentley Rock Springs, Wyo., Connie Peak, Oceola, Mo., Linda Hagins, Carthage, Mo., and Emma Lea Marshall, Rock Springs, Wyo.; four brothers, Jack Parker Eads, Colo., Norman Parker, Dighton, Gene Parker Eads, Colo., and Paul Parker, Dighton. Also step-mother, Margit Parker, Lamar, Colo. Nita also is survived by 16 grandchildren, 26 great- grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Juanita (Nita) had a great love for family and people both friends and strangers. She is greatly missed.
