Daughter of Eliab and Abigail Kilham (AKA Killum) Farnham (AKA Farnam, Farnum). She was the 1st wife of William MacClure. She died just two days after she gave birth to their ninth child, daughter Prudence McClure. When she died, there was no formal cemetery in McClure settlement, so William did what most pioneer settlers did, he buried her behind their Cabin he built on the knoll overlooking the convergence of the Fly Creek and the Oquaga River. Thus started the McClure Cemetery.... Her grave being the first and oldest grave in McClure Cemetery.
