Joseph Franklin "Bub" Rankin, 60, died at his home in North Berkeley Wednesday morning at eleven o clock following a lengthy illness. For the past several months he had been confined to his bed.

He was a son of the late William and Cordelia Fredman Rankin and had lived all of his life in Morgan County.

Surviving are his widow (Pearl) one son, Melvin, by a former marriage, four daughters, Mrs. Clarence Shade, Berkeley Springs; Marie, Iona and Eileen, at home; and one sister, Mrs. Mary Leighty, Berkeley Springs.

Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at two o clock in the Evangelical Church with the Rev. Lp. P. Markley of Felton, Pa., a former pastor here, officiating.
