Liz was born May 11th, 1932 in Jackson County, Kentucky to William F. Amyx and Hattie Smith Amyx. She married Albert Russell Mullins on October 27th, 1951. They were blessed with three daughters and one son and shared 53 years together before his death on February 2nd, 2005.
Liz was formerly employed by the Richmond Glove factory. She spent most of her years as a homemaker and mother who enjoyed time spent with her children and grandchildren. She was a faithful member of the Fountain City Wesleyan Church for 40 years, serving as a board member, Sunday school teacher, Sunday school treasurer, Bible school teacher and was active in Wednesday Night Bible Study, Women's Missionary Society and Golden Years Fellowship. She enjoyed solving crossword puzzles and playing games.
Liz was survived by three daughters, Kyna (and Tony) Foster, Sue (and Richard) Bromagem, and Karla (and Mike) Buckley; one son, Cecil Mullins; nine grandchildren, Tony II (and wife, Rett) Foster, Robby (and wife, Allyson) Foster, Cammie (and husband, Josh) Delph, Royce Buckley, Lucas Tout, Dallas Mullins, Devin Mullins, Lindsay Bromagem, and Jordan Bromagem; six great-grandchildren, Abby Foster, Laney Foster, Hayleigh Blevins, Payton Buckley, Ellie Delph, Riley Bromagem, and a 7th soon to be born, "Junebug"; one sister, Christine Hale; two brothers, John Carlos Amyx and Harold Amyx; several nieces and nephews, that called her "Aunt Sissy" or "Shorty"; and a host of other family and friends who mourn her passing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William F. Amyx and Hattie Amyx; her loving husband, Albert Russell Mullins; three sisters, Opal Shepherd, Marie Hurley, and Georgia Ann Amyx; and three brothers, Dennis Amyx, Hubert Amyx, and James Amyx.
Visitations were held from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 13th, 2011 and from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 14th, 2011 at the Fountain City Wesleyan Church in Richmond, Indiana.
Funeral services were conducted by Pastor Greg Boyce at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 14, 2011 at the Fountain City Wesleyan Church. The Smith-McQuiston Funeral Home in Fountain City, Indiana was in charge of the arrangements for Liz.
Interment followed in the Willow Grove Cemetery in Fountain City, Indiana.
