Herbert Burrows died May 15, 2007 in the loving arms of his daughter in Mapleton. Following the legacy of his father who lived to be 97 years old, Herbert Burrows lived a long and productive life. Born on July 30, 1909 in Hatch, Utah, he lived through extreme changes in his world. As a kid, he rode horses and as an adult, he traveled in jets. He grew up in a family of 13 children. Up until the last few months, he lived on his own and always kept an immaculate yard and garden. Herbert married Ruth Harmison and they are the parents of 6 daughters and 3 sons. He raised his family and lived a long time in Springville. He resided in Spanish Fork the last several years. He taught his family the value of a good sense of humor, a good attitude, and a good work ethic. He will long be remembered for his devotion to family and strength in the gospel. He is survived by one brother, Harold Burrows; two sisters-in-law: Grace Burrows and Donna H. (Raymond) Bastian; four daughters: Bonnie (Golden) Young, New Mexico; Eva Lou (Wayne) Hassell, serving a mission in St. Petersburg, Russia; Ila (Bert) Pay, Clearfield; Marian (Wynn) Everett, Mapleton; three sons: Bliss, Spanish Fork; Clark (Linda) Colorado, Herb (Pamela) California; 25 grandchildren, 57 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
