Mrs. Nellie Williams, 82, of 50 Maple avenue, Canajoharie, died late Tuesday afternoon in Amsterdam Memorial Hospital following a long illness. Mrs. Williams was born Sept. 25, 1892 in Canajoharie, the daughter of Miles and Mary Barnes Diefendorf. She was married to Roy Williams, who died in 1959. She had been a member of the Fort Rensselaer Chapter DAR, since 1912, a member of the United Methodist Church, Canajoharie and the United Methodist Women's Club. Survivors include cousins. Funeral services were held Friday at 2 p.m. from the Houghtaling Funeral Home, Canajoharie, with the Rev. Samuel Fountain, pastor of the United Methodist Church officiating. Burial was made in Fort Plain Cemetery.
