Mrs. Katie Acton dies Nov. 28; services here
Mrs. Katie E. Acton, 71, died Nov. 28 at the Imperial hospital. Immediate survivors include two sons: Ronald of Wauneta and John of Trenton; two daughters-in-law and three grandchildren. Mrs. Acton had been a patient at the Imperial hospital for two months prior to her death.
Katie and Harry Acton were married in 1916. They came to Wauneta in 1935 to make their home from Ottumwa, Ia. They lived on the family farm north of Wauneta. Mr. Acton preceded his wife in death. His passing came in July of this year.
Funeral services were held at the Wauneta Methodist Church on Saturday the Rev. John Brooks officiating. Singers were Sharon Walgren and June Skelton accompanied by Claire Voorhees.
Pallbearers were Lee Hunt, LeRoy Jussel, Worth Kanost, Edwin Kanost, Elmer Lewis and Kenneth Kits. Interment was at Riverside Cemetery, the V. B. Johnston Mortuary of Wauneta in charge of arrangements.
