Death claims Harry Acton; rites and interment July 10
Harry Acton, 73-year-old resident of the Wauneta community, died Sunday, July 7 at the Imperial hospital where he has been a patient. Survivors include his widow Katie and two sons, Ronald of Wauneta and John of Trenton.
Mr. and Mrs. Acton were married in 1916 and came to Wauneta in 1935 from Ottumwa, Ia., to make their home on the family farm north of Wauneta.
Funeral services were held at the Wauneta Methodist Church on Wednesday, the Rev. Mr. Brooks officiating. Masonic rites were conducted. Interment was at Riverside Cemetery, the V. B. Johnston Mortuary in charge of arrangements.
