Laura was the last in her immediate family to pass on. Although she had no children of her own, she was especially attentive to all her nephews and nieces and their families. She remembered every birthday, holiday, graduation or special day with a card and a couple dollars to celebrate. She fought her way through life on her own through many personal struggles, and was always on top of things. Laura loved her family, she loved food, and she loved her friends. She loved her cat, and all the poor homeless creatures of the world. She contributed to many charities from her very very meager income. Laura came from a generation that believed that men were a little more important, America was always right, never question your doctor, and wasting anything, from food to the container it came in, is a sin. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Daniel and Lester, her sister Terry, and her sister in law Francis. She is survived by her sister in law Margaret (Lester) Schweitzer, eight nephews and nieces, ten great nephews and nieces, two great great nephews and special loving friends June and Joe Pattermann and Anne Fellows. The members of her family and friends have many mixed and loving memories of Laura throughout life and the most recent being some of the brightest. It will be a different world without this sweet lady. Arrangements will be handled at the Olsen Funeral Home in Whitewater. There will be no funeral, burial or visitation services as per Laura's wishes. A memorial will be scheduled sometime in late spring.
