OBITUARY--Richland Observer, Richland Center, WI
Daniel A. Schweitzer, 72, of Viola died at a local hospital on Sunday, June 22, 1997.
He was born Jan. 27, 1925 to Albert George and Rose Marie (Potter) Schweitzer. On June 28, 1852, he married Frances M. Datta in Chicago, and she preceded him in death on June 8, 1983. He served in the military and was a veteran of World War II. Daniel was a retired painter.
Survivors include his children, Jane (Roger) Corey of Winona, Lt. Jim (Lola) Schweitzer of Kingsland, Ga, and Phyllis Johnson of Viola; six grandsons and one granddaughter; a brother Lester (Margeret) Schweitzer of Delevan; and a sister Laura Schweitzer of Whitewater.
He was also preceded in death by a sister Terry Payne and his parents.
Services were held Wednesday, June 25, at the Pratt Memorial Chapel in Richland Center. Rev. Scott Morgan officiated with burial in the Richland Center Cemetery where military graveside rites were conducted by the Richland Center American Legion Post 13 and VFW Post 2267. Pratt Funeral Services assisted the family.
