Statesboro, Ga., May 30 - Adam Jones, 70, died in Atlanta early this morning after a long illness.
He was a citizen of Bulloch County for many years and operated a retail show business. He moved to Atlanta several ago.
Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Mrs. James E. Braxton, Atlanta; one son, Eugene T. Jones, Atlanta; and one sister, Miss Minnie L. Jones, Statesboro, and two grandsons.
Funeral services will be held in the Barnes Funeral Home Chapel 4:30 p.m. Thursday with Rev. George Lovell Jr., officiating. Burial will be in the Eastside Cemetery. The body will arrive in Statesboro early Thursday morning.
Active pallbearers: Frank Mikell, James Johnston, Gilbert Cone, F. C. Parker Jr., James Bland and Buster Bowen. Honorary pallbearers: Olin Smith, J.E. McCroan, Dr. J.H. Whiteside, Don Brannen, Frank Parker Sr., C.B. McAllister, J. L. Renfroe, O. L. McLemore, George Bean and Fred Fletcher.
