Marcella Forney
PEORIA - Marcella F. Forney, 86, of Ottawa, formerly of Peoria, passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2011, at her residence.

She was born Aug. 3, 1924, in Peoria, a daughter of Fred B. and Anna C. Heck Buehler. She married Charles W. Forney Jr. on June 6, 1944, in Peoria. He preceded her in death May 21, 1984, in Danville.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one son, Paul W. Forney.

Surviving are two daughters, Frances (Bill) Kjellesvik of Ottawa and Elizabeth Carmichael of Moline; five grandchildren, Gina Regalado, Jessica Gray, Timothy (Bethany) Kjellesvik, Andy Kjellesvik and Lee Gray; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Bernard (Jean) Buehler; two sisters, Rosmary Buehler and Anna Marie Clay; and several nieces and nephews.

Marcella was employed by Central High School District 150 in Peoria, retiring after 15 years and was previously employed in the blueprint department for Caterpillar Tractor Co. in East Peoria.

She was a member of St. Ann's Choir, St. Ann's Ladies Guild, and St. Ann's Catholic Church in Peoria.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 11, 2011, at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. Father Terry Cassidy will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the chapel. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in West Peoria.
