First-I bequeath to my wife, Mary A. Barber, all of my real estate and all household effects of every kind and character on my home premises at the date of my decease, with the taxes paid up on same fully for the year of my decease, subject, however, to the stipulation and performance by her a certain contract entered into on the 11 day of December 1902 and recorded in Book 4 page 223, of Mess. Records of Wayne County Iowa.
SECOND- After the payment of my just debts, my wife Mary A Barber, is to receive the further sum of One Thousand Dollars. The balance of my estate is to be divided equally among my nieces and nephews, (6 in number) as follow: Arthur B. Williams, ,Owen DeKalb Williams, Anna M Richmond, William B Newell, Mary E. Richie, Alice J Wiseman.
