Lantz, 74, McAllen, died Wednesday, Jan. 21, 1998, at McAllen Heart Hospital. Mr. Lantz was born April 28, 1923, at Salina, Kan., and was a
resident of Texas since 1971. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and was a demolition diver on the U.S.S. Sumner. He was a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church, McAllen. Survivors include his wife, Reva of Edinburg; a son, Rodney of Donna; a daughter, Sharon Ector (Ecton) of Weslaco; five grandchildren including two granddaughters they raised, Lori Kramer of San Marcos and Deanna Hettler of McAllen; and seven great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be at 3p.m. today at Kreidler FuneralHome, 314 N. 10th St., McAllen 78501. Burial will be in Solomon, Kan. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association-RGV Chapter, 2213 Primrose, McAllen 78504, or American Heart Association, 201 S. 15th Suite 201, McAllen 78501.
