Margaret E. Payne, 88, died Thursday, March 17, 2005 in Lincoln, Nebraska. Margaret was born October 26, 1916 in Salina, Kansas to Elbert Michael & Esther (Holmgren) Lantz.

Margaret graduated from Salina Senior High School in 1934 and Married Roy Eugene Payne on July 26, 1939 in Independence, Missouri. They moved to Bennington, Kansas, then to Marysville, Kansas, then to Hastings, Nebraska in 1946. They returned to Marysville, Kansas in 1974 and to Trumbull, Nebraska in 1977. After Roy's death in 1983, she moved to Lincoln, Nebraska. She was a lifetime member of Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen Women's Auxiliary, a homemaker and a loving mother and grandmother.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, husband Roy, two sisters and three brothers.
