Schmeidler, Elmer A. age 78, of Coon Rapids, passed away at home surrounded by family on Thursday, February 15, 2007. Preceded in death by daughter, Susan Clark; brothers, Joseph, Isadore, Robert, & Albert; sister, Mary Ann Lang. Survived by loving wife of 44 years, Kathy; daughters, Debbie & Karin (Rob) Knutson; grandchildren, Katie (Charlie) Crippen, Jarod Clark, Joy Edwards, and Jake & Sam Knutson; great-grandchildren, Xavier, Susan, Kaylee, Holiday, Aliah, & Faith; brother, Celly; & sister, Isabel Staab. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was a proud Korean War Veteran, earning a purple heart and 5 bronze stars; member of the Coon Rapids American Legion & VFW, lifetime member of the DAV.
