According to the Civil War pension file for David "Dave" Nichols (father), Nolan Calvin Nichols was the caregiver for his mother, Martha M. (Nichols) Nichols until she died. I have not found a marker for her grave, but believe she may be buried beside her husband, David Nichols. Nolan Nichols' paternal grandparents were James Jerome and Elizabeth (Blevins) Nichols buried in the Harmon Cemetery near Ozark, Franklin County, Arkansas, and his maternal grandparents were Lawson and Martha R. (Bain) Nichols, Sr., possibly buried in the old "Salem Cemetery" just west of their old homeplace on the Old Wire Road.
