David "Dave" Nichols married his second cousin, Martha M. Nichols, on April 25, 1867 in Franklin County, Arkansas. Dave Nichols was the son of James Jerome Nichols, first cousin to Lawson Nichols, father of Martha M. Nichols. Dave's mother was Elizabeth "Lizzie" (Blevins) Nichols and Martha M. Nichols' mother was Martha R. (Bain) Nichols.
