Robert D. Douglas,89 of Camden,died Tuesday.Born in Chesterfield Co. he was the son of the late John Henry and Mrs. Sarah Poston Douglas. And husband of the late, Mrs. Sarah Benton Douglas. He was a retired farmer.
Surviving are five daughters, Mrs.Sara E. Morris, Mrs.Alby (Mary) Bowers,and Mrs Mack( Vernelle) Cain of Camden,Mrs. Johnnie Mae Huckabee and Mrs.Marie Aughtman of Andalusia Ala.two sons,John H. Dougas Thurman Douglas of Andalusia Ala. a sister Mrs. Maggie Goff of Sumter a brother, William Douglas of Joanna;36 grandchildren and greatgrand children.
Services will be held at 2. p.m. today at Kornegay Funeral Home Camden, Chapel, conducted by the Rev.Gene Cargal, with burial in Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery, in Sumter Co. .S.C.
Pallbeares are, Charles and Harold Morris, Jimmy, Johnny, Allen and Bill Catoe.
Honorary pallbearers are, Mike McCaskill, Alby Bowers and Audie Mangum.
