Helen Anna Tucker Bartholomew, 84, of Bolivar, Tennessee, died Sunday evening, November 19, 2006 at the Pleasant View Healthcare Center.
The widow of James Leo Bartholomew, who died in November 1970, she was a nurse's aid at Pleasant View Healthcare Center until she retired in 1989.
Mrs. Bartholomew was born February 6, 1922 in Scotts Hill, daughter of the late Riley Tucker and Vollie Newman Tucker and lived here most of her life. She loved to read, work in her yard with flowers and collect family photos. Mrs. Bartholomew was a member of the Dixie Hills Baptist Church.
Services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 22, 2006 at the Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel with Ricky Watson officiating. Burial was in Scotts Hill Methodist Church Cemetery.
Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Wilbanks of Ramer; three sons, James, Jerry and Alvin Bartholomew, all of Bolivar; two sisters, Lavelle Rimmer of Cedar Grove and Billie of Greenfield; a half-brother, Joe Tucker, also of Greenfield; nine grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
