Born in Creston, N.C., Roark was the son of the late Thomas and Ada Pless Roark. He was employed as the maintenance manager for the Host Town Inn, Keller Avenue.
In addition to his widow, he survived by three sons and two daughters, R. Donald , of san Diego, Calif., Thomas G., Terry R., Jeanne, wife of John McComsey, and Janet, wife of W. Robert Henry, all of Lancaster.
Also surviving are two grandsons, seven granddaughters and one great-grandson. Three sisters survive Nell, wife of Merle Swope, Lancaster, Ginny, wife of Sherman Brooks, of Durham, N.C., and Mrs. Mary Hossler, of West Jefferson, N.C.
