Reporter. Fri. Dec. 29, 1978, p. 22:5. Arthur Q. Loehr, 84, of 2706 Mounted Route 30, Lakeshore Dr., in the Town of Friendship, who served on the Fond du Lac County Board for over 20 years, died in his sleep Thursday morning, Dec. 28, 1978, at his home. He was born Sept. 9, 1894, at Johnsburg, a son of the late Henry and Susan Hennen Loehr. He married Mary Vogds at Marytown on June 1, 1915, and she died July 29, 1969. Mr. Loehr farmed in the Town of Friendship area. He served as treasurer in 1931, was later the township chairman until 1951, served on many county committees and was active on the highway committee. Surviving are a son, Edward of Route 1, Van Dyne; three daughters, Mrs. Clarence (Vera) Marcoe of Route 1, Mrs. Lila Graffen of Oshkosh and Mrs. Edward (Joyce) Farrell of Medford, Ore.; 21 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are seven brothers, Alfred and Vincent both of Fond du Lac, Alex of Milwaukee, Walter of Lagauna Hills, Calif., Henry and Charles both of Canoga Park, Calif.; and four sisters, Miss Dorothy, Miss Lucinda and Miss Martha Loehr and Mrs. Vera White all of Lagauna Hills, Calif. A son, grandson, great-grandson and brother preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church where he was a member. The Rev. Raymond Fox will officiate, and burial will be in St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery at Johnsburg. Friends of Mr. Loehr may call from 3 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
