MRS. SCHWARTZ

Mrs. Marcella Schwartz, 72, of Route 2, died Sunday morning at her home.

She was born Jan. 4, 1901, at Johnsburg, the daughter of Dr. John J. and Anna Brost Schoofs. She was graduated from the former Fond du Lac Senior High School in 1921 and from Wisconsin State Normal at Milwaukee in 1923.

On July 2, 1925, she was married to Lawrence T. Schwartz at St. John's Catholic Church, Byron.

Mrs. Schwartz was a member of St. John's Altar Society, and American Legion Auxiliary at Lomira. She lived her entire married life on the farm where she died.

Survivors include her widower; four children, Mrs. Mary Lou Geiger of Route 2, Harold of Fond du Lac, Larry of Waterbury Conn, and Ms. Susan Nitzke of Evansville, Ind.; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Valeria Kious of Clintonville; and a brother, John Schoofs of LaFayette, La.

She was preceded in death by five brothers and a sister.

Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Kietzer Funeral Home, Lomira, and at 10 a.m. at St John's Church, Byron. The Rev. Fred Fechhelm will officiate and burial will follow in the parish cemetery.

Visitation for Mrs. Schwartz will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
