Sonne was married to John Paul Tuffly September 03, 1915.
Children of SONNE BRIDGES and JOHN TUFFLY are:
i. MARY ELLEN TUFFLY, m. R. W. MCDONALD.
ii. BERNIECE TUFFLY, m. FRED H. SOLAND.
iii. ROSE MARIE TUFFLY.

They were later divorced.

From Great-Niece Katherine Torkelson:

Great-Aunt Sonne lived in Elkhart, TX for a good time after she retired.

Sonne had built a small one-room cabin just up the road from my home. It has since been torn down. She had a large old dog named Cuddles. She would buy horsemeat, carrots, celery, and onions and make Cuddles dog food. She had a large freezer and would freeze a weeks supply at one time. The house had a small kitchen, a dining and sleeping area and a small bathroom. It was not very large. But it wss perfect for Sonne and Cuddles!

Sonne was a LVN. She would take cases and live in other peoples homes caring for the elderly. Sometimes, before Sonne came to live in Elkhart, when she was between cases she would come to Elkhart for a visit. I remember her making what she called Silver Dollar pancakes with homemade syrup for breakfast. Often the aroma of this breakfast wafting through the house would signal when Sonne had arrived!

Aunt Fanny and Uncle Joe De Noon had purchased a house across town and my mother Gladys Margaret Wells, Sonne, Fanny and Uncle Joe would play Canasta for hours. Great Aunt Sonne brought a wonderful dynamic to the family unit in Elkhart.

The entire family looked forward to her visits.
