James Bridges, age 88 yrs, 6 mos, 29 dys, died at his residence, 617 Apperson St, San Antonio, Texas on Feb. 17, 1935. He had been a resident of San Antonio for 19 years. He was born in San Augustine, Texas on July 18, 1846, the son of Charles Bridges; mother's name unknown by informant. Mr. Bridges was preceded in death by his wife, Mary. He was a retired farmer. His body was cremated and buried in Mission Burial Park South with Riebe Und. Co. of San Antonio in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Bridges lived with his daughter and son-in-law, Fannie Bridges DeNoon and Joseph Elmer DeNoon.

James Bridges mother's name was Adaline Bridges, maiden name unknown. After James Bridges father died Adaline married Wm. M. Ford and they resided in Robertson County, Texas and are found in the 1870 Census there. James Bridges had a sister named Mary Margaret Bridges 2 years younger than he. She married Henry Parish and lived in Earth, Texas until she died in 1918.
