COOKEVILLE -- Funeral services for Emily Sue Fields, 76, of Mason, Ohio, will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 27, at Dodson Branch Free Will Baptist Church in Cookeville. Burial will be in Dodson Branch Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. today, Friday, Feb. 25, at Landmark Baptist Church in Cincinnati, Ohio, with services following. The family will also receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 26, and from 1 p.m. until time of services on Sunday at the church in Cookeville.
Mrs. Fields passed peacefully on Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2011.
She was born Aug. 27, 1934, in Cookeville to the late William and Velma Williams Hawkins.
She was a devoted Christian and a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Mrs. Fields was a 1953 graduate of Livingston Academy in Livingston. She was a member of Heartland Baptist Church in Mason. She and her family were the managers/operators of the Shadow Lake Trailer Park in Mason for more than 30 years, and she hosted the Fields Family Christian Radio Program on WCNW AM 1560 for 36 years.
Her family includes four loving daughters and three sons-in-law, Sandy and Bill Helton, Amy and Chuck Grantz, Patty and Vernon Tarter and Debbie Guiterrez; two brothers, Robert Hawkins of Tennessee and Doug Hawkins of Illinois; two sisters, Sylvia Trisdale and Faye Phipps, both of Tennessee; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Charles Fields (who died in 2004), and two sons, Randy and Gary Fields.
