Irene Wroten, 82, of Booneville, died Saturday, Dec. 5, 1998, at Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth after an extended illness.
Services were Sunday, Dec. 6, at 3 p.m. at McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Elwin McCutcheon officiating. Burial was in New Hope Cemetery.
Mrs. Wroten was retired from Blue Bell and a housewife. She was a member of New Hope Primitive Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arvid L. Wroten and three brothers, Ellis Shackelford, Levi Shackelford and Clovis Shackelford.
She is survived by her son, John Wroten and his wife, Peggy, of Booneville; a sister, Verna Mae Greene of Tishomingo; and one granddaughter, Elizabeth Wroten of Starkville.
