Samuel a farmer, was a Deacon in Bear Creek Old German Baptist Church 1897; buried in the Bear Creek Cemetery. He was married three times, first to Hanna Wolf August 19, 1839 they had three children, Jacob 1841, Abigail January 9th 1845 (named after Samuel's younger sister Abigail Arnold who died at 10 years of age) & Samuel A Arnold March 28th 1850. Hannah died in 1873, Samuel married second Elizabeth Stoneroad on March 3rd 1878 but Elizabeth passed away a few months later. Samuel married third Polly Warner about 1884. There were no children with Samuel's marriages to Elizabeth or Polly.
