AGNES MATHILDA AYCOTH, 86, of Alvin passed away on February 22, 2011 in Alvin. Agnes was born on August 22, 1924 in Ammansville to parents, Willie and Mathilda (Pokluda) Kossa. She married Charlie Aycoth, Sr. on March 9, 1946 in Charlotte, North Carolina. They moved from Ammansville to Alvin in 1960 and were members of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Agnes was very involved at the Alvin Senior Center and especially loved playing Bingo there. She also enjoyed tending to her flowers. Many will remember her from Dairy Queen, where she worked until the age of 80. Agnes was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Aycoth, Sr.; parents: Willie and Mathilda Kossa; son, Charlie Aycoth, Jr.; sister, Janie Robel; and brother, Lawrence Kossa.

She is survived by her children: Peggy Brady and husband CL of League City, Janice Turner and husband Jim of Houston, Sandy Bryce and husband Arthur of Alvin, Eunice Valdez and husband Fred of Alvin, Rita Danek and husband John of Clear Lake Shores, Andy Aycoth and Michelle Norvell of League City, and Patsy Cecacci and husband Don of Alvin; sisters: Dorothy Mooring of Houston, Bernice Kusy and husband Valentine of Nederland, and Evelyn Witzkoski of Rosenberg; brother, Sylvan Kossa and wife Leona of Ammansville; 12 grandchildren: Heather, Nikki, Zack, Jeremy, DD, Erin, Angie, Taylor, Ashley, Blake, Jim and Jennifer; and 17 great-grandchildren: Ben, Mattie, Christian, Gabby, Ethan, Zade, Kami, Gage, Ami, Evelyn, Cadence, Nathan, Jacob, Braedon, London, Everett and Graham.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 24, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Froberg Funeral Home at Oak Park.

The Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, February 25, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church with Father Borski, OMI officiating. Interment will follow at Confederate Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Alvin Senior Center.
