Evelyn Marie Witzkoski, 89, passed away Friday, October 9, 2015, in Rosenberg. She was born March 22, 1926 in Ammannsville to Willie and Mathilda Kossa. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John J. Witzkoski; son, Billy Joe Witzkoski; sisters, Janie Rabel, Agnes Acyoth, and Bernice Kusy; and brother, Lawrence Kossa.
Survivors include 8 children, Margie Freed and husband, Larry, Jimmy Witzkoski and wife, Judy, Helen Silhavy, Mary Jane Sowa, Stephen Witzkoski and wife, Stephanie, Mark Witzkoski and wife, Terrie, Gary Witzkoski and wife, DeAnna, JoAnn Amonette and husband, John; brother, Sylvin Kossa; and sister, Dorothy Mooring; 20 grandchildren, Dana and Chad McArthur, Kimberly and Greg Martel, Brian and Tonya Freed, Jeannette and Steven Johnson, Laura and Phillip Nix, Amy and Justin Szymanski, Cory and Sterling Burton, Duane L. and Chastity Sowa, Krissa Sowa Smith and Jeremy, Travis J. Sowa and Amanda Chupik, Tracy and Brandon Beck, Amber and Chris Goodyear, Kara Witzkoski, Brittney and Ross Roberts, Chad Witzkoski, Cody Witzkoski, Jeremy Pavlock, Jason and Stephanie Witzkoski, Tanya Witzkoski and Haley Witzkoski; and 18 great-grandchildren, Kyle Sowa, Holly Sowa, Rileigh Sowa, Nevaeh Evelyn Smith, Haley Brown, Jacob Brown, Benjamin McArthur, Colton Johnson, Tyler Johnson, Andrew Martel, Charlie Goodyear, Ariel Burton, Jada Burton, Bella Burton, Liam Nix, Logan Szymanski, Jacob Szymanski, and Tyler Witzkoski.
A funeral mass will be held Friday, October 16, 2015, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church at 10:00 A.M., with Father William Bartniski officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held Thursday evening October 15, 2015, from 4-8 P.M., with a Rosary at 6:00 P.M.in the Chapel at Davis Greenlawn Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Pavlock, Chad Witzkoski, Cody Witzkoski, Jason Witzkoski, Travis Sowa and Duane Sowa.
