COLORADO CITY ~~ Mrs. M.D. Jennings, 73, died at her home Monday after a long illness.
Born November 3, 1888, in Comanche County, she married M.D. Jennings February 3, 1907 in Loraine. He died in February 1952.
Mrs. Jennings had been a resident of Mitchell County since 1924. She was a member of the Memorial Baptist Church here.
Funeral was to be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Kiker and Son Chapel with the Reverend C.L. Carroll, former pastor of Memorial Baptist Church officiating.
Burial was to be in the Colorado City Cemetery.
Surviving are three sons, Virgil of Big Spring, J.T. of Colorado City, and Otis of Chinle, Arizona; two daughters, Mrs. Lena Jobe of Claunch, New Mexico and Mrs. Elsie Inez Perry of Colorado City; two brothers, Acie and Jim Stump of Midland; two sisters, Mrs. C.E. Webb of Colorado City and Mrs. Frankie Allen of Mesquite; 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
