David was born December 27, 1932 in Gladewater, TX to Otis and Louise Holmes Hosch. He proudly served our country in the United States Army as a Korean War veteran. In 1956 he married Lieselotte Hartmann in Frankfurt, Germany. He was a postal clerk for many years. David loved to restore old cars, and to hunt and fish. His main focus was his home and family and he adored his children. He renovated his home over the years and built some of the family furniture. David was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.
Mr. Hosch is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 54 years, Lieselotte Hosch in 2009; and son, Larry Wayne Hosch in 1991.
Survivors include his mother, Louise Nation of Palestine, TX; daughters, Mary Hosch of Elgin, OK, Chrissie Boren of Wichita Falls; sisters, Florence Owens of Grand Prairie, TX, Helen Parton of Longview, TX; brother, Jake Hosch of Palestine, TX; and his "babies", Bandit, Brutus, and Prissy.
Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home.
