Brooklet, Ga., Nov. 24, 1949, J. W. "Bill" Cone, 61, a well-known farmer of the Brooklet district, died at his residence near here last night after an extended illness.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Maxie Howell Cone; a sister, Mrs. Leroy Cook of Brooklet; and four brothers, R.L., J.G. and D.W. Cone, all of Brooklet, and Winton Cone, Savannah.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 1:30 p.m. from the Brooklet Methodist Church by the Rev. L. C. Wimberly, the pastor. The body will remain at Jones Funeral Home in Statesboro until the funeral hour. Barnes Funeral Home.
