STATESBORO, GA. - Nov. 12, 1946 Farley S. Cone, 55, died suddenly this morning at his home near Brooklet. Funeral services were held Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Upper Black Creek Church with Rev. Charles Jackson in charge of the services. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Mr. Cone had lived all of his life in Bulloch County and was a veteran of World War I. He is survived by five brothers, J.W. Cone, R.L. Cone, D.W. Cone, James G. Cone, all of Bulloch County and Winton Cone of Savannah; and one sister, Mrs. Lee Roy Cook of Brooklet. Active pallbearers will be Burnel Fordham, Fred Fordham, Wilbur Fordham, T.J. Waters, Comer Groover, and E.C. Lanier. Honorary pallbearers will be W.C. Crowley, C.C. DeLoach, Joel Minick, Houston Lanier, C.A. Zetterower, R.P. Miller, M.P. Fordham, Aston Proctor, N.F. Flake, S.T. Waters, J.F. Waters, and Lehman Akins. Barnes Funeral Home was in charge of funeral arrangements.
