Short Illness Fatal to O.E. Rollings, Sr.

O.E. Rollings, Sr., 63, credit manager of the Odum Clothing Company, died at 8:20 PM at a local hospital after a short illness.

Mr. Rollings, whose home was on Shades Crest Road, was credit manager for many years of Cotton, Odum, and Bowers and Odum, Bowers, and White. He had been credit manager of the Odum Clothing Company since it was formed. He was born at Plevna, Alabama.

Mr. Rollings was second vice president of the Merchants Credit Association, a member of the A.F. & A.M. No. 384 Knights Templar and of Zamora Temple of the Shrine.

Surviving are three sons, Robert A., Ollie E., Jr., both of Birmingham; Harvey D. Rollings, Atlanta; a daughter, Mrs. Allie Pearl Morris, Birmingham; a sister, Mrs. J.L. Richards, Pueblo, Colo.; three brothers, E.O., Louisville; Otus S. and Robert L., Birmingham, and four grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday at the Brown-Service Norwood chapel. The Rev. James Allen Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
