Shirley was reared in Kanab and Salt Lake City. As a married couple Shirley and Don lived in Richmond and Pacheco CA where the children were reared. They retired to Redding CA in 1982 then to American Fork UT in 1991.
Shirley and Don reared four children: Iva, Donald, Vivian and Sharon
She was active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and faithfully served in callings in the Sunday School, Relief Society, Stake Family History Center, and at the Oakland Temple.
SURVIVED BY her four children Iva Wardle (Evan) Beckstead, Donald (Barbara) Wardle, Vivian Wardle (Dean) Russell, and Sharon Wardle Loveridge (Harry) Clark; by 18 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren. Survived by her sister LeRene Allen Yarnell, brothers John Allen, Jesse Allen, Israel Allen, Leonard Allen, Gideon Allen, Don Allen, Fred Allen, Ashley Allen, and Stephen Allen.
PRECEDED IN DEATH by her parents, husband Don, sisters Virginia Allen and Vesta Allen Anderson, and brother Philo Allen.
