He was born June 26, 1907 in Kiel, a son of Rudolph and Caroline Domke Muenster. On May 4, 1948 he married Marie Schneider at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, New Holstein. He was a machinist with the Leverenz Shoe Company until retiring.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving in World War II from 1942 to 1946 as an airplane mechanic, mostly in Germany.
He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, New Holstein and its Holy Name Society.
Survivors are his wife, Marie; one son, Kenneth (Kathleen), of Waukesha; one daughter, Mrs. Catherine (Mark) Leicht, of Seattle, Wash.; one grandson, Jarad Leicht; one brother, Donald (Mary) Muenster of New Holstein; two sisters, Mrs. Trudy (Milton) Brocker, New Holstein and Mrs. Mary Lou (James) Vollstedt, Fond du Lac; one sister-in-law, Inez Muenster, Kiel; and one brother-in-law, Lester Knight, Milwaukee. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Karen; one brother and one sister.
Funeral services will be at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, New Holstein. Officiating will be the Rev. Patrick Lloyd.
