LEXINGTON -- Services for Vera Mount Wilson , 87, will be held at 4 p.m. Monday, March 19, 2007, at the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington. Officiating will be J. O. Casteen, Jr. and assisting will be Steven Slocum. Interment will follow in Celestial Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Wilson passed away Wednesday. Born in Norway, SC, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Clara Baltzegar. Formerly of Orangeburg, she has been an area resident since 1952. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Surviving are her husband, Francis C. Wilson ; daughter, Joanne M. Geiger and her husband, Conrad Geiger, of Lexington; sons, W. E. Mount, Jr. and his wife, Nadine, of Lexington, John Mount and his wife, Lou, of Leesville, Wayne Mount and his wife, Dean, of Lexington; four stepsons and five stepdaughters; sisters, Mateland B. Brown of Norway, Jean B. Bair of Orangeburg, and the late Juanita Berry; brothers, Roger Balton of Lake City, Bobby Baltzegar of Orangeburg, Jack Baltzegar of West Columbia; 35 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. www.thompsonsfuneral.com
