Ransom Dale Alley, 75, of Radford, VA, passed away on Thursday, February 17, 2011. He was born in Carroll County, the son of the late Ransom A. & Ina Lou Pickett Alley. He was a United States Army veteran and retired master electrician with RAAP. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Dallas Alley. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Shirley King Alley, of Radford; daughter, Donna Marie Alley, of Radford; three sons & daughters-in-law, Randal Dale & Jane Alley, and Terry Wayne & Melisa Alley, all of Newbern, and Steven Ray & Londa Alley, of Pulaski; three brothers, Ellis and Boyd Alley, both of Woodlawn, and Rudolph Alley, of Galax; sister, Naomi Hagee, of Roanoke; and four grandchildren, Candace and Amanda Alley, and Tiffany and Tanner Alley. Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m. on Monday, February 20, 2011, at the Fairlawn Church of God with the Rev. Terry Bowden officiating. Interment will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin where members of VFW Post #776 will conduct Military Rites. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. on Sunday evening, February 20, 2011, at the Fairlawn Church of God, 7858 Pepper Ferry Blvd. The Alley family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
