Last Rites for Former Reed Point Resident
Funeral services were held in this city Tuesday afternoon from the Evangelical church for Mrs. J. L Yates, former Reed Point resident who died Friday in Livingston. Rev. H. S. Tool delivering the sermon. Music was by Mrs. John Rash, Mrs. A. W. Newmann, Lorraine Schroeder, and Rev. E. J Schroeder, with Eida Neumann playing the accompaniment. Pallbearers were John Rash, George Deeney, A. W. Newmann, Thorval Krone, F. B. Swift, and H. H. Marlow. A large number of Reed Point friends were present. Burial was beside her husband in Mountain View. Franzen's of Livingston being in charge. Mrs. Yates was born in Mill Grove, Mo. living there until 1914 when the family moved to Reed Point. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. M. A. Murray of Livingston, Mrs. Earl Cole of Portland, Ore., and Mrs. C. B. Schuyler of Billings; four sons, E. J. Yates of Sunnyside, Wash., C. J Yates of Detroit., O. R. Yates of Stoneington, Ill., and H. E. Yates of Glaston, Ind.; 27 grandchildren, eight of whom are serving in the nation's armed forces and two great-grandchildren.
