Aunt Veda Gragg Devoll was the story teller of the family.
She told me the story of how my mother and father met.
How when I was about two years old, I disappeared and when I was found, I was in the fenced area with the meanest bull my grandfather had. I was walking in and out of his legs and the bull just let me.

She was very funny, loving and worked really hard in the home. She made bread every week and scheduled washing the same day each week.

I used to go the her house almost everyday from the time I was 5 years old until we moved from Bussey,Iowa to Lovilia, Iowa when I was 14 years of age. During these years the family was very close.

She died of Cancer in Oskaloosa, Mahaska, Iowa.
I came from California to visit with her just before she died. She was in so much pain and on such strong medication that she did not recognize me. I am glad I was able to see her before she Passed on.
