MRS. CHARLES SKIDMORE
SANDGATE - Mrs. Lydia A. Skidmore, 70, widow of Charles Skidmore of this town, died Feb 6 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Mabel Rowland of Shushan, N.Y.
She was born in Sandgate and had been a lifelong resident of that town until, due to her illness, she was forced to leave her home.
She is survived by six sons; William of Dorset, George, Millard, Floyd and Harry of Sandgate and Kenneth of Shaftsbury; three daughters, Mrs. Rowland, Mrs. Bertie (Hazel) Whidden of Salem, N.Y., and Mrs. Merritt (Daisy) Wideawake, also of Salem; two sisters, Mrs. Daisy Labarron and Mrs. Minnie Scrivens of Cambridge, N.Y.; three brothers, Clayton and Ralph Granger of Salem and Thomas Granger of Shushan; 39 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The funeral was held Saturday afternoon from the McClellan Funeral Home in Salem. Burial Salem, N.Y.
