Rhodie E. Bird, aged 65 years, of Henry Clay Township, died at the Price Hospital, Confluence, Sunday, September 30, 1951. She was the widow of Lewis Walter Bird, who preceded her in death 31 years ago, and a daughter of the late Kimmel and Sarah Savage. Surviving are one sister, Mrs. A.J. Dennis of South Carolina; six children, Nellie Fike of Farmington, Emery Bird and Palmer Bird of Markleysburg, Arley Bird of Belle Vernon; Rose Moyer of Brandonville, W.Va., and Jean Bird, at home; 12 grandchildren. Funeral services will be at the Union Chapel church, Wednesday, October 3, at 2 o'clock with Rev. George Jeffries and Rev. Summerfield officiating. Interment will be in Thomas Cemetery.
