He was a self-employed milk hauler and, after retiring, went on to work for the Lancaster County Parks Commission.
Lloyd was a member of Mount Eden Lutheran Church and a lifetime member of Bobby's Run Hunting and Fishing Club in Cameron Co.
In addition to his wife, Lloyd is survived by two sons: Vernon of New Providence, and Jeffrey husband of Wanda of Quarryville; two daughters: Cynthia, wife of Glenn Kendig of Christiana, and Brenda, wife of Mike Welk of Willow Street; along with 12 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and sisters, Esther Hess of Lancaster, Ruth Harrington of Lancaster and Anna Mary Dorsey of Strasburg. He was preceded in death by a son, Theodore, a daughter, Bonnie Amorosi, a grandson, Jeremy Kendig and brothers, George, Harry and Warren.
Funeral Services will take place at Mount Eden Lutheran Church, 1241 May Post Office Rd., Quarryville, PA 17566 on Saturday, February 19, 2011 at 11:30 a.m. with Rev. Traci L. Glover officiating. The viewing will be held from 10:00-11:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery. Kindly omit flowers; for all their loving care, the family would like memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Lancaster County, P.O. Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604 or to the Mt. Eden Lutheran Church at the above address.
