Irene M. (Stoltzfus) Witmer, 90, of Lancaster, entered into rest on Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at Hospice and Community Care. Born in Bareville, she was a daughter of the late Elam S. and Mabel (Petery) Stoltzfus. She was the wife of the late Lloyd C. Witmer.
Irene graduated from Bart High School and went on to work as a seamstress for many years. She was a member of Mt. Eden Lutheran Church. She enjoyed crafting and attending craft shows.
Irene is survived by 4 children: Cindy, wife of Glenn Kendig of Christiana; Vernon, husband of Carol Witmer of Holtwood; Jeff, husband of Wanda Witmer of Quarryville; and Brenda, wife of Mike Welk of Willow Street. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and a brother, Robert C. Stoltzfus of Paradise. She was preceded in death by a daughter Bonnie, a step-son, Ted and 6 siblings.
