JOHN AND OLIVE (PROFFITT) SEYMOUR

John Seymour was born in Missouri in 1869. He married Olive Jane Proffitt in Missouri in 1886 and they had seven girls; Lillie, Sarah, Ada, Neatice (Maggie), Ettie, Lola, Georgie, and three sons Cleo, Isaac, Elzie Lee "Buck" Seymour.

John worked as a United States mail carrier. His route was number 53618. He also was a sharecropper in this area.

Olive died in 1913 and John Seymour raised his family.
