ELZIE LEE HOWARD SEYMORE

Funeral services for Elzie Lee Howard "Buck" Seymore, 77, Stroud, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 6, 1988 in the Curry Parks Brothers Funeral Home in Stroud. The Rev. Glen Rice, Stroud officiated and interment was in the Stroud Cemetery.

Mr. Seymore died Thursday, September 1 in the Veterans Administration Hospital in Oklahoma City.

He was born Sept. 28 1911 at Shamrock, the son of John and Olive Seymore. He was reared and educated in the Lincoln-Creek County Area and lived most of his life in the Stroud community.

He married Hazel Marie Meyer in Sapulpa, and she preceded him in death Dec. 1, 1976.

Self-employed as a plumber for many years, he also worked on the Trawick Ranch northwest of Stroud where he resided for several years before his retirement.

He was a member of the Holiness Church at Gypsy in Creek County, and also the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 3656.

In addition to his wife, he was also preceded in death by his parents, one brother, seven sisters and one grandson.

Surviving are two sons, Jerry Miller and Bill Miller, both of Depew; two daughters, Judy Murfin, Stroud, and Barbara McFarlin, rural Agra; one brother, Cleo Seymore, Tulsa; 13 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and other relatives.
