OBITUARY for RAY FRANKLIN WALTON

Ray Franklin Walton, 86, of Mexico died at 3:45 p.m. Saturday February 15 [1986] at Locust Grove Retirement Village, Mifflin Star Route.

Born March 5, 1899 in McCoysville, Juniata County, he was a son of the late George Loy and Margaret Elizabeth [Sheriff] Walton.

His wife, Margaret Evelyn [Burd] Walton survives. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son and two daughters: John E. Walton, Port Royal R.D. 2; Mrs. Earl [Mary] Palm Honey Grove; and Mrs. Wayne [Florence] Bryner; a stepson and two stepdaughters: Charles L. Duncan, Mexico; Mrs Ray [Margaret] Singer, McAlisterville R.D.1; and Mrs. Roy [Helen] Heckman, Lewistown. Also two brothers: Howard Walton, Medina, Ohio, and James Samuel Walton, Millerstown; and two half brothers: Joseph Walton and Guy Walton, both of Mifflintown R.D.2; 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

A son, William W. Walton; two stepdaughters, Ruth Irene Duncan and Dorothy Kochenderfer; and two half brothers: Harry D. Walton and George Albert Walton, preceded him in death.

He was a retired upholster. He was a member of Mexico United Presbyterian Church and a former trustee of the church.

Services were held Tuesday morning at the, Rex Funeral Home, Port Royal, with the Rev. Robert G. Campbell officiating. Interment was made in the Westminister Presbyterian Cemetery, Mifflintown.
